Vision for the Gulf

The Gulf is a Jones Act powerhouse with six of the top ten US ports by tonnage. South Louisiana is the largest port by tonnage in the Western Hemisphere and just under half of that tonnage is domestic Jones Act cargo.

I believe there are new job opportunities in the Gulf for MM&P members.  It will not be easy but when has it ever been easy?

US Flag Container, Ro-Ro and Break Bulk ships are being held steady by the 60 vessel Maritime Security Program, cargo preference and the Jones Act. MM&P will always keep up the fight for these pillars of our existence in Washington DC. It has been my experience that meetings with members of Congress in their own districts, called Maritime Advisory Committee meetings, are very effective in educating and fostering new allies in Congress.

For a presence in the Gulf and dedication to the highest ideals of MM&P, I humbly ask for your support.  Vote Jeremy Hope for VP of Gulf Ports and Government Contracts!
